From the state capital, T-Systems will operate the pioneering administrative network for Saxony. All state and local authority institutions will be connected. The network will therefore provide the ideal basis for a comprehesive authority reform.
T-Systems will set up and operate a state-wide, pioneering network based on the Internet Protocol (IP) for the Saxon administration. All local and state employees can use this network to access the most current information at any time. This will enable them to process applications faster than ever before. Administrative processes can also be made more efficient. With this network, the local authorities will be able to take on more state tasks. Each institution will have a bandwidth based on its individual needs, in order to make phone calls, process data and information or participate in video conferences within the state administration via IP. The Saxony's state municipalities, citizen offices, schools, police and data centers will be connected to the network.
Favorite citizen services to stay
T-Systems will integrate all of the current electronic citizen services into the solution. This will include the administrative portal www.amt24.sachsen.de, which is already making administrative processes easier for citizens. The new network will enable the quick implementation of the EU directive on services. This directive requires that citizens be able to process applications electronically as of December 28, 2009.
