Vehicle telematics

Greater mobility

Stuck in a tailback? T-Systems’ vehicle telematics solutions for traffic management get things moving. And, speed up the economy too.
Road congestion is not just frustrating. It’s expensive too: In Germany alone it costs the economy approximately 50 million euros a year. Every day, around 55 million cars and 2.5 million trucks travel on the country’s roads. And that’s not including through traffic. A huge challenge even for Europe’s most dense road network.
The answer is innovative ICT for traffic management and navigation. According to experts, these systems could reduce road congestion by twenty percent.
Smart ICT to combat traffic
Time and again, through research activities and industrial projects, T-Systems has proven that this is not just a theoretical hope – but could be implemented in practice. Examples include City FCD, implemented during the World Cup 2006, and logiweb for the fleet management of MAN commercial vehicles. Furthermore, T-Systems is currently working on state-of-the-art applications for Galileo, the EU satellite navigation system.
