Technology and service without glitches

June 20, 2007

Bosch is looking to grow in the Asia Pacific region. The company generated a sales surplus of 12 percent in the region last year, with China at the forefront. In 2006, the overall sales volume in the Far East totaled 16 percent.
The Bosch Group now has more than 200 locations in the Asia Pacific region. T-Systems will connect all business locations via a high-performance network upon commission by the Bosch local business unit in Singapore. Additionally, T-Systems will establish a high-performance link between data centers in America and Europe. From Beijing to Bangkok, Bosch will then be able to provide IT services to all locations from the lion city.
Lowering IT costs in the long run
The set-up of a new network architecture with standardized network services and systems is expected to lower IT costs in the long run. This is one of the reasons for the central approach. This approach allows information and communications technology to be provided from one source without any glitches. "We trust in the experience and commitment of T-Systems," says Dr. Heinz Derenbach, Executive Vice President Technical and Engineering in the Corporate Sector for Information Systems and Services at Bosch, which is one of the globally leading providers of automotive and industrial technology, consumer goods and building technology.
