It’s a deep-seated partnership itself: Diolen’s predecessor, Acordis Industrial Fibers, had outsourced its SAP needs to the Deutsche Telekom subsidiary. Its legal successor, Diolen, is not only keeping a solid grasp on this tried and true connection – it‘s taking them to the next level: On the hunt for new paths to lower operating costs, the new Dynamic Services for SAP solution marked the spot. In addition to more favorable conditions and flexible support, the solution also covered responsibility for the IT network. The concept immediately convinced Obbe Lubach, Corporate ICT Manager at Diolen: “It is easier for us to put the network architecture and software support into one hand.”

The foremost advantage of the new packet is its high level of flexibility. Because: with Dynamic Services for SAP, the customer only pays for the services that it actually procures – including support. In Diolen’s case, the ICT service provider customized the complex program for a precise fit to the needs of the Dutch experts. For this reason, the internationally renowned fiber specialist, with operations in the Netherlands, Germany and the USA, obtained the latest solution for its business processes – thus avoiding the constant reinvestment in new software. In addition, Diolen received a retooled IT infrastructure. A state-of-the-art Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) network enables rapid data transmission. “This way, we benefit from greater capacity, and at the same time can count on lowering our costs in the information sector by up to five percent,” says Obbe Lubach.
