Central address directory for wireless and fixed-line end-devices
At CeBIT, T-Systems will present solutions for telcos that give them quick access to new business fields. This includes a shared, central address book for fixed-line (VoIP) and wireless devices. Within one month, companies will be able to offer this service to their customers on the basis of an IP platform.
CeBIT visitors will be able to access the directory with cell phones available at the booth. Visitors will see that the same information is stored on all of the cell phones. For example, if users enter an address, a database immediately synchronizes this information in the background with all of the other cell phones, PCs and laptops on the fixed-line network. Thus, field employees are able to access all data during a customer visit at any time, no matter what end-device they use. The database in the background is located at the data processing center of the network operator. This way, all information will still be available even if the cell phone or laptop is lost.
