Reliable, integrated and flexible

Container ships to Venice or cargo planes to Katmandu: managing complex logistics requires reliable networks.
That’s why Deutsche Post DHL has tasked T-Systems with the modernization and management of the telecommunications and data network that links its data centers around the world. The facilities in Prague, Cyberjaya in Malaysia and the USA are the beating heart of the leading delivery and logistics player’s worldwide value chain. “The agreement with T-Systems will provide a more consistent, integrated and demand-focused set of telecommunications services for our business.” says Ralf Weißbeck, Managing Director of IT Services at Deutsche Post DHL.
Better service, better performance, lower costs
“We can service customers with global operations at both their headquarters and their international locations," commented Joachim Langmack, Chief Sales Officer of T-Systems, adding that "Deutsche Post DHL will benefit from our global service management and flexible, on-demand bandwidth.”
The contract also includes worldwide service management, ensuring interoperability between various local providers and consistent services across the entire network. The new backbone not only offers better performance by eliminating unused capacity, it will also drive down costs. And that will help Deutsche Post DHL cut costs for telephony and network services by over 190 million euros in the next five years with further savings expected as a result of its ongoing Telecoms Optimization Program.
