Security through performance
May 22, 2006
From now on, Berentzen will secure its data with a T-Systems solution. With T-TeleSec Server and Desktop Security (SDS), the company with a long tradition now has a high-performance security solution, including desktop firewall and intrusion detection services.
SDS is an economical and efficient security solution by T-Systems. It is based on technologies by the company F-Secure and features a desktop firewall and intrusion detection services. The solution not only keeps out viruses, worms, spam, and hackers, but also registers attempted attacks on the network. Intrusion detection sends out alarm signals when it detects forged identification features or attempted non-authorized access.

Uninterrupted work processes
The installation was implemented centrally by the administrator for all computers and servers. There was no downtime for the individual workstations. The updating of virus signatures - i.e. the updating of the security solution - is done automatically. Users and workstations are not affected. Updates can be installed several times daily. Properly documented protocols about conspicious virus findings or hacker attacks assist the IT experts in their analysis.
Berentzen-Gruppe AG, which employs around 700 staff members and was founded almost 250 years ago, is one of the leading German companies dealing with spirituous beverages.
