Running smoothly: T-Systems and Cognizant are managing software applications for the tire divisions of Continental AG.

Starting in 2009, T-Systems and Cognizant together will be managing construction and other programs for Continental’s research and development. A majority of the services will come from India. Cognizant employs most of its employees on the subcontinent and can therefore perform outsourcing tasks reliably and cost-effectively at that location. This results in immense cost advantages, which T-Systems and Cognizant are passing on to their customers. For example, Continental will significantly reduce its previous expenses for administration and maintenance of its
CADCADComputer-Aided Design: computer-assisted drafting, design and development in fields such as architecture, construction and engineering. CAD solutions are characterized by sophisticated graphical capabilities. (Computer Aided Design) programs such as Catia and UGS/NX. This was one unbeatable argument with which T-Systems and Cognizant were able to put Continental's previous service provider out of contention after 10 years of working with the company.
