Security Made to Measure

The security management process specifies all procedures to plan, evaluate and audit measures that promote improvements in security levels. Identified security objects form the basis of this process. The aim is to provide, as an integral part of IT services, a security service that corresponds to customers’ interests and is efficient and economic.
The information security management system (ISMS) at T-Systems is based on international policies, principles and guidelines. The ICT service provider has accordingly introduced appropriate standards and processes within its operational units that apply to all service functions. T-Systems assembles in its ISMS rules and procedures that serve the purpose of continuously defining, managing, controlling and constantly improving information security.

Ensuring Operational Security

At the operational level, security management at T-Systems is based on the internationally recognized de facto standard ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework. It describes rules, processes and tools required to operate an IT infrastructure. ITIL is always geared to the added commercial value that IT operation can gain for the customer.
T-Systems’ security management is totally integrated into ITIL service management and service delivery processes. Operational security is an integral part of all solutions and of international service delivery. For an ICT service provider it is crucially important to be able to ensure a secure end-to-end service for locations and services distributed around the world.
