This is guaranteed by state-of-the-art production lines, the individual stations of which are closely coordinated with one another.
For production to run smoothly, Continental uses the ILOG JRules solution for more than 20 of its production plants. This is a specialist application that integrates the manufacturing times of each type of tire precisely into the production planning. This Business Rules Management System is operated centrally on a T-Systems server in Germany. It independently calculates the standard production times of hundreds of different tire models and versions. Within the context of 3rd level support, T-Systems supports the locations with the optimization of underlying rules.
