T-Systems named UK Leader in Software Defined Networks by ISG
T-Systems, the ICT provider from the Deutsche Telekom Group, has been named a UK leader in Software Defined Networking (SDN) by Information Services Group (ISG), a leading global technology research and advisory firm.
According to the ISG Provider Lens™ Report, “Network – Software Defined Solutions and Services" for the UK, T-Systems is ranked as a leader in six categories: Managed WAN Services, SDN Transformation Services (Consulting & Implementation), Mobile Network (4G/5G) Additional (non-core) Services, SDN Security Services, SD Network Technologies Suppliers (Core) and SD Network Technologies (Mobile to Edge). In its report, ISG compared the capabilities of 50 leading network providers serving the UK.
In their provider ratings, the experts from ISG praise T-Systems’ powerful Managed WAN services and competent knowledge of the migration of legacy systems in the area of software-defined networking (SDN). According to ISG, T-Systems regards excellent connectivity as the basis for digitization, and is therefore continuing to expand its SD networks. It says that the telecommunications group is also paving the way for establishing itself as an important "5G player". In addition, T-Systems offers companies a unique combination of IT security and telecommunications security as a core competence. T-Systems’ "mixed bag approach" in the integration of various technologies from leading suppliers also led ISG to name the ICT provider a six-time leader in the UK provider comparison.
