T-Systems offers Dynamic Services for Infrastructure with vCloud (DSI vCloud), an IaaS offering based on VMware’s virtualization technology. Besides the provision of virtual IT infrastructure resources, the offering also includes backup functions, management of provided operational systems as well as disaster recovery capabilities to fulfill highly sophisticated requirements regarding availability and business continuity.
Full Computing Power at the push of a button
With DSI vCloud you have a scalable operational environment in the form of a virtual data center which can be easily integrated into your existing VMware virtualization environment. Resource management is based on self-service via a portal, the Cloud Manager (hybrid model). But you can also use DSI vCloud as virtual private cloud version via secure network connections of the self-service portal (private model). The administration and management of virtual machines can easily be done autonomously via the self-service portal at the simple push of a button. To ensure the right fit for every situation, differently sized virtual data centers and usage models with predefined service scopes are available – including optional expansion possibilities!
DSI vCloud: basis for dynamic business models
Enable new business models – fast and safe and with a high level of flexibility! DSI vCloud turns investment costs into operating costs through flexible provision and billing. This means, if the business idea or product does not attract customers, the company can quickly scale down capacity and instantly reduce its cost base.
The offering is available in various usage models to fit different needs:
DSI vCloud Basic vDC is the ideal entry into the cloud for immediate IT infrastructure resource needs, for example, for test and development environments. Thanks to its pay-as-you-go model, billing is consumption-based.
DSI vCloud Committed vDC emphasizes predictability and reliability. Predefined configuration packages of different sizes provide a fixed sum of 75 percent of RAM and 50 percent of CPU resources, with the remaining RAM and CPU resources flexibly available with consumption-based payment.
DSI vCloud Dedicated vDC reserves resources exclusively for the optimal use of operating system licenses. 100 percent of the ordered resources will be exclusively operated for the customer with dedicated hardware resources (CPU/RAM).
