Ensuring continuity for hospital processes at UKBB

Fast, low-risk transition to SAP HANA with a next-gen successor for SAP IS-H at University Children’s Hospital Basel

T-Systems Solution for Healthcare as the successor solution to SAP IS-H for the healthcare sector

SAP is withdrawing the IS-H solution, the market-leading system for hospital management, from the Swiss and Austrian markets. The University Children’s Hospital Basel (UKBB) promptly began a search to maintain continuity in its process support. T-Systems is enhancing SAP IS-H to become T-Systems Solution for Healthcare (TSHC), capturing the potential of SAP HANA and offering an end-to-end package for application transformation.

Customer pain points

  • Discontinuation of IS-H hospital management system by SAP
  • Search for alternatives to maintain continuity of core processes
  • Significant financial challenge for rolling out alternative systems
  • Protecting investments

How T-Systems solved it

  • T-Systems is taking over the further development of SAP IS-H and transforming it into TSHC
  • SAP license agreement
  • End-to-end package for application transformation with partner ATSP (custom code conversion, data conversion to SAP HANA, readiness check)
  • Capture the potential of SAP HANA and SAP S/4HANA

With its follow-on solution to SAP IS-H, T-Systems is ensuring the continuity of an essential software solution for the Swiss healthcare sector.
