German T-Systems and Danish Aeven have signed a cooperation agreement to jointly deliver European cloud to Danish companies and public authorities, ensuring full sovereignty over critical data.
Geopolitical unrest has created an increased need for digitally sovereign solutions under European legislation for Danish businesses and the public sector. Concerns about U.S. surveillance legislation, tariffs, and presidential executive orders are real, leading to growing demand for cloud solutions operated by European companies in Europe. The aim is to achieve full control and protection of business-critical and sensitive data, as well as to avoid economic sanctions. Therefore, T-Systems and Aeven are now entering into a partnership to offer T Cloud Public, which is T-Systems’ European public cloud.
We see a clear shift toward solutions where customers want greater control over their data and technological dependencies. Together with T-Systems, we are introducing a strong European cloud alternative that can be directly integrated into our modern hybrid cloud architecture. With the cooperation agreement in place, a comprehensive onboarding program for Aeven employees is now being launched, focusing on T Cloud Public, its services, and technology. With trained staff, Aeven can offer advisory services around the platform, assist customers with data migration, and provide T Cloud Public as an integrated part of Aeven’s multicloud offering to the market, where Aeven advises, designs, and operate solutions across platforms, including T-Systems’ managed services.
