Volkswagen Autoeuropa renews its trust in T-Systems

Placing its trust in T-Systems again, Volkswagen Autoeuropa has renewed the contract for the maintenance and management of its production control systems and IT infrastructure. T-Systems Portugal, as the technology partner, will maintain and manage its technology ecosystem with a proximity support model at its locations in Portugal.

The challenge

Maintain and improve production management and technological infrastructure by adapting to changing market circumstances
Develop new logistical and production solutions that allow adapting the manufacturing model to the new market, and guarantee the interoperability of different solutions and applications to maximise the efficiency and productivity of the plant
Reduction of costs, time and CO2 emissions in road vehicle tests

The solution

Road Test Predictor application that uses artificial intelligence algorithms to improve the reliability of the prediction and reduce the volume of vehicles tested on the road
Collection of data on the behaviour of the platform
Data analysis to find relevant patterns and trends
Tests and adjustments for optimisation of the performance and efficiency of the platform
Implementation of the solution and follow-up

This collaboration contributed to the adoption of the production cloud, with a view to the process of interoperability of applications, which allows Volkswagen Autoeuropa to better manage its production.
