Dr. Gottfried Ludewig, born in 1982, joined Deutsche Telekom in March 2022. Initially, he was responsible for T-Systems’ healthcare business in Germany and internationally. Under his leadership, partnerships were established to introduce digital identities for millions of people with statutory health insurance in Germany, and AI-based applications were developed for clinical and administrative contexts. From 2018 to 2022, he headed the Digitalization and Innovation department at the German Federal Ministry of Health. Since January 2026, he has contributed his experience in politics, healthcare, and digitalization as a member of the Supervisory Board of Alexianer. Ludewig lives with his family in Berlin and, in addition to German, speaks fluent English and Italian. He is married and the father of two children. Born in Bonn, he studied economics at TU Berlin and earned his doctorate on the topic of “Regulatory Framework Conditions in Healthcare.”
