Welcome to the Cloud Technology Center: the home of the cloud. In the heart of Berlin, in an old clothing department store with a historic ambiance, industry meets modernity. Here visitors can experience the applications of current cloud innovations up close.
The experts from T-Systems are not only there to advise companies in the Cloud Technology Center, but also to work with them on solution scenarios and to implement these as innovative proof of concepts and develop prototypes. Individual cloud solutions are created in an agile and interactive co-creation process; from the initial idea, to consultation offers, to migration concepts, to implementation with the customer, through to managed cloud services.
What makes the CloudHub so special are the many vivid practical examples: interested companies are shown the uses of cloud solutions in a fun and interesting way. For example, the machine learning technology TensorFlow allows algorithms to be trained and used in a variety of ways. This is exemplified by a digital work of art. Simply load any photograph into the TensorFlow program. The program then uses previously learned algorithms of brushstrokes, coloring, and haptics to transform the photo into a "masterpiece" in the style of Rembrandt, van Gogh, or Munch. The large amount of computing power required for this process is provided via special hardware graphics cards from the Open Telekom Cloud.
The showcase of the AWS DeepRacer also shows that complex computing processes can be easily transferred to the cloud. With the help of AWS Public Cloud and machine learning, a self-driving model car equipped with sensors can be trained. Together with the customer, we work on training functions which we test in a simulation environment and then transfer to the car. "On the street" shows whether the programming and learning processes have been successful by seeing if the model car can drive around the corners independently. The technology can be transferred to a wide range of business and production applications in industry.
The various use cases in the CloudHub motivate visitors to try out new technologies. For example, several start-ups are already using the Open Telekom Cloud to map and implement AI algorithms for their business models. We are therefore constantly developing the functional scope of the Open Telekom Cloud further, in close cooperation with the companies. The cloud team involves customers in product development, provides feedback, and suggests new solutions for a shared digital future in accordance with T-Systems' motto "Let's power higher performance".
