Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the most comprehensive and widely deployed cloud platform in the world with 165 services across 21 geographic regions. From storage and machine learning to artificial intelligence and Internet of Things (IoT), AWS covers a number of requirements for digital transformation. Thanks to a global infrastructure, the services are always available and the operation is simple and effective.
T-Systems has been working closely with AWS as an Advanced Consulting Partner since the fall of 2018 and has expanded its offer to include managed services based on the Amazon Cloud.
By expanding its portfolio to include consulting, migration, and managed services for AWS, T-Systems can offer companies ICT solutions based on the infrastructure of their choice. This also includes hybrid cloud solutions across different platforms. At the core of the partnership with AWS is the deployment of SAP and the VMware cloud on AWS. This enables companies to bring business-critical workloads into the data cloud and significantly accelerate their digital transformation. They can also rely on T-Systems' proven security and network services and AWS' innovative strength, speed, and experience.
As an AWS Advanced Consulting Partner, T-Systems is in a position to provide comprehensive and strategic advice on the various options, services, and tools available in the AWS cloud – It can also implement and optimize the application in companies accordingly.
T-Systems has many years of extensive cloud expertise and experience in handling complex migration projects. The AWS expertise was further deepened in an extensive, three-month training program: with the support of AWS, T-Systems has trained more than 200 engineers in Germany and Mexico to become certified AWS cloud architects. Further training courses are expected to increase the number of certified employees worldwide to more than 1,000.
While Managed Cloud Services for AWS includes architecture evaluation, migration consulting, security analysis, DevOps, and workload and cost optimization, the VMware Cloud on AWS solution serves as a hybrid cloud offer, linking VMware infrastructure software with Amazon Web Services in the public cloud. The seamless migration of existing workloads into the public cloud is a novelty. As many local data centers run on the same VMware SDDC technology as VMware Cloud on AWS, it simplifies hybrid IT operations for enterprises. Companies can use the public cloud with the same platform they use in their own data center – without having to purchase new or customized hardware, rewrite applications, or change existing operating models.
As more and more companies move to the cloud, AWS and T-Systems are helping them undergo their digital transformation and manage their cloud environments from start to finish. The partnership between AWS and T-Systems is based on a “public cloud first” strategy, and thus meets customers' requirements for ever greater speed and scalability.
