At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Europe’s largest telecommunications trade fair, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is front and center. Deutsche Telekom is showcasing not only cutting-edge innovations for individual consumers, but also sovereign and secure AI solutions tailored to large enterprises and small-to-medium businesses.
Four weeks ago, we launched our Industrial AI Cloud—the first of its kind in Europe. Now, we’re proud to present it on the global stage at MWC. But we’re not stopping there: we’re actively expanding the connected AI ecosystem for our customers. As part of this effort, we’ve deepened our longstanding collaboration with ServiceNow, becoming their "Sovereign Partner Cloud Provider" in Germany.
Why does any industry need AI solutions? AI delivers transformative impact, particularly in fields such as mechanical engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and robotics. What has been missing, however, is an infrastructure that checks all the boxes—open, secure, and sovereign. With our Industrial AI Cloud, powered by a technology stack that’s “Made in Germany”, that gap is now closed.
This secure and sovereign AI stack is open to all stakeholders. I'm thrilled that our trusted partner ServiceNow is now an integral part of this ecosystem."
Dr. Ferri Abolhassan, CEO T-Systems and Board Member Deutsche Telekom
Leveraging our proprietary T Cloud infrastructure, we deliver the ServiceNow AI platform as a sovereign solution. This enables our customers to streamline and automate workflows across IT, customer service, and human resources with unparalleled ease. From strategic consultation to implementation, licensing, hosting, and operations, we provide every aspect from a single source—backed by data sovereignty, regulatory compliance, and Deutsche Telekom’s end-to-end accountability.
This expanded partnership with ServiceNow, established in 2014, strengthens our position as their Sovereign Partner Cloud Provider in Germany. It empowers our customers to optimize workflows, organize unstructured data, and boost efficiency using advanced AI solutions. Furthermore, this close collaboration underscores both companies’ commitment to driving secure, AI-powered digital transformation.
AI is radically transforming value creation and competitive dynamics worldwide. For the first time, humans are building systems capable of processing data, perceiving the world, interpreting it, and acting upon it. Rising production demands require novel, AI-driven automation technologies and advanced industrial robotics to achieve greater efficiency. The mastery of industrial AI will define the competitiveness of entire economies.
Deutsche Telekom, in collaboration with strategic partners, has established a sovereign, high-performance AI factory in Munich through the Industrial AI Cloud. This landmark initiative, part of our "Made for Germany" program, aims to strengthen Germany’s position as an economic powerhouse and accelerate digital transformation.
Equipped with 10,000 next-generation NVIDIA GPUs, the Industrial AI Cloud houses a German technology stack developed in partnership with SAP and Siemens. This stack encompasses everything from connectivity and operations to AI infrastructure and Platform-as-a-Service, all packaged within Software-as-a-Service offerings. Importantly, all data remains in Germany and adheres strictly to German and European security standards.
This scalable, high-security AI platform is customized to perfectly align with our customers’ needs. Enterprises, SMEs, academic researchers, public sector organizations, healthcare providers, and defense industries can leverage this infrastructure to develop, test, and deploy cutting-edge industrial AI applications.
The Industrial AI Cloud enables customers to unlock the full capabilities of Industry 4.0. They can simulate digital twins of manufacturing facilities, design virtual crash tests, conduct digital wind tunnel trials for automotive and aerospace development, engineer robot controls, accelerate drug discovery, streamline hospital emergency operations, automate citizen services, and train and operate custom AI models.
This is a true gamechanger for the entire European industrial sector.
