Deutsche Telekom is modernizing the core system for all HR processes worldwide. SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central will manage nearly all core HR data within the group going forward. This includes employee master data, employment contracts, and organizational structures. T-Systems and SAP are implementing the project jointly. To this end, T-Systems is consolidating approximately 700 HR components across 90 legal entities in 28 countries onto a single platform and harmonizing the master data of 150,000 employees. This will streamline processes and make the platform scalable. Additionally, the system is a prerequisite for enabling AI-supported HR processes in the future.
This project is one of the largest HR transformations in Deutsche Telekom’s history.
Ferri Abolhassan, Member of the Board of Management of Deutsche Telekom and CEO of T-Systems
“It is a testament to Telekom’s confidence in our capabilities and expertise. After all, sensitive data is the heart and foundation of all HR processes: This will enable the Group to make decisions across 28 countries in the future in accordance with compliance requirements and based on uniform and up-to-date data. And the project serves as a blueprint for large-scale and complex HR transformations in the SAP domain,” added Ferri Abolhassan.
Telekom has been using SAP SuccessFactors since 2013. Employee Central has been part of the HR IT landscape since 2017, though not in all legal entities. The first entities will go live as part of this project as early as 2027. By early 2029, the system is set to become the Group’s central solution for HR master data.
