Reliable platform for business customers

Security and data protection

Looking for an alternative to US hyperscalers? With the Open Telekom Cloud you receive public cloud resources from German data centers. Zero Outage and certifications such as the Trusted Cloud Data Protection Profile (TCDP) and TISAX3, an automotive security standard, enable the best possible protection – and reflect your compliance, GDPR, and security requirements.

Large variety of products and services

You have every freedom: choose services and features from the Open Telekom Cloud that suit your business model. These include scalable computing, storage and network resources, management and security functions, Platform as a Service, Software as a Service, and an optional hybrid version.

One public cloud for all use cases

Take advantage of the rapid provisioning of cloud resources to meet different needs. For example, to absorb peak loads in e-commerce, to analyze large amounts of data with artificial intelligence, or to obtain more storage space. Numerous services are available for this purpose – from tools for the simple use of containers to disaster recovery, virtual desktops, and SAP-certified servers.

Flexible price models

All cloud services can be added and removed as required within minutes. Two price models are available. With “Elastic Open”, a pay-as-you-go model, you only pay for the resources that you actually use. The “Reserved” model is different: We contractually reserve capacities for permanent users for 12, 24 or 36 months – including a corresponding discount.

Open Telekom Cloud in practice

Open Telekom Cloud – the key questions

How do the Open Telekom Cloud and European data protection fit together?

The Open Telekom cloud is verifiably compliant with the strict requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This is confirmed by the Trusted Cloud Data Protection Profile (TCDP), among other things. For many companies, IT security and data protection are two of the most important reasons for using the Open Telekom Cloud or switching to it from other cloud offerings.

The Open Telekom Cloud is based on the open source architecture OpenStack. What does this mean for my IT operations?

Being based on OpenStack means that the Open Telekom Cloud guarantees a high degree of flexibility and freedom. In contrast to other public cloud offerings, the Open Telekom Cloud does not use proprietary systems, thereby significantly reducing the risk of vendor lock-in.

How does scaling work in the Open Telekom Cloud?

The Open Telekom Cloud scales very well at all levels: it offers the right basis for cloud-native applications, i.e. applications that scale horizontally in particular. Load balancers, auto scaling groups, as well as cluster managers such as the Cloud Container Engine play an important role here. In addition, the Open Telekom Cloud is ideally suited for vertical scaling, for example with GPU, FPGA, and the like.
