Looking for an alternative to US hyperscalers? With the Open Telekom Cloud you receive public cloud resources from German data centers. Zero Outage and certifications such as the Trusted Cloud Data Protection Profile (TCDP) and TISAX3, an automotive security standard, enable the best possible protection – and reflect your compliance, GDPR, and security requirements.
You have every freedom: choose services and features from the Open Telekom Cloud that suit your business model. These include scalable computing, storage and network resources, management and security functions, Platform as a Service, Software as a Service, and an optional hybrid version.
Take advantage of the rapid provisioning of cloud resources to meet different needs. For example, to absorb peak loads in online trading, to evaluate large amounts of data with artificial intelligence, or to obtain more storage space. Numerous services are available for this purpose – from tools for the simple use of containers to disaster recovery, virtual desktops, and SAP-certified servers.
All cloud services can be booked and debited as required within minutes. Two price models are available. With “Elastic Open”, a pay-as-you-go model, you only pay for the resources that you actually use. The "Reserved" model is different: We contractually reserve capacities for permanent users for 12 or 24 months – including a corresponding discount.
The Open Telekom Cloud offers open interfaces and is also based on the open source cloud architecture OpenStack. This open standard enables you to integrate your IT projects and infrastructures into the Open Telekom Cloud with the greatest of ease.
The Open Telekom Cloud is also one of the best in terms of environmental sustainability – another argument for companies to choose the Open Telekom Cloud. We achieve this with 30% lower energy consumption compared to other data centers.
The Open Telekom Cloud is provided from the highly secure Telekom data centre in Biere, which with 1.3 PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) requires 30 percent less energy than comparable data centres. A performance that the US certifier USGBC has awarded gold status according to the internationally recognised LEED rating. In addition, Telekom's data centre is powered 100 percent by electricity from renewable sources.
The high level of data security and data protection offered by the IT resources of the Open Telekom Cloud from data centers in Saxony-Anhalt played a central role in hosting our omnichannel platform. Our customers entrust us with very sensitive data. Trust therefore plays a central role in our business. There are projects and customers that we would be unlikely to win without such a trustworthy cloud basis.
