Like the rest of the world, we at Deutsche Telekom and T-Systems are deeply shocked and saddened by the images and news coming from Ukraine. Our priority over the past weeks is securing the safety of our staff and partners, while keeping our services and operations running uninterrupted.
“We are all deeply saddened by the war in Ukraine. Our thoughts are with the people who are suffering. The welfare of our colleagues who may be affected by the escalation is a top priority. As part of our business continuity plans, we have been preparing for various scenarios over the past weeks and have taken actions to ensure how we can deliver our services in the future.” said Adel Al-Saleh, CEO of T-Systems.
Tim Höttges, CEO of Deutsche Telekom, stated: “Our solidarity is with the people of Ukraine. However, solidarity alone is not enough; action counts. We have initiated first immediate support measures for the Ukrainian people and their families. Deutsche Telekom is particularly strong when it can be there for others.”
Continuity of service
Our business continuity plans include ways to maintain safe service delivery in different global scenarios. We have taken actions to ensure we can continue to provide our high-quality services in each of these scenarios. These actions include duplication of relevant services, which means we can quickly move them to other locations around the globe.
IT security
To protect against cyber-attacks, Telekom maintains its own cyber security center, which analyses millions of cyber-attacks every day. Our experts continuously monitor different attacker profiles and groups.
Close collaboration with authorities
We are in permanent exchange with the federal authorities and are part of the critical infrastructure protection network. We use information from these exchanges to keep our own anomaly detection systems up to date. These systems are also updated daily using data obtained by our cyber defense team using our own sensor technology.
