ISG is the first and only analyst firm to evaluate cloud providers in terms of the sovereignty of their services. In this first-ever report for the European market, T-Systems was immediately ranked as a leader. The report demands cloud infrastructures including data sovereignty from providers. European data residency, high data security, and orientation towards GAIA-X and GDPR principles are mandatory.
For the evaluation of sovereign cloud services, ISG examined two cloud offerings from T-Systems: the sovereign cloud with Google Cloud and the in-house Open Telekom Cloud. T-Systems’ setup allows customers to realize hybrid scenarios in which sensitive and sovereign workloads can be very easily linked with non-sensitive workloads based on different governance policies. At the same time, customers gain unique freedom of choice with two sovereign cloud offerings.
