KAESER KOMPRESSOREN uses Google’s G Suite, with all employees accessing it via the main data center in Coburg, causing latency issues. To resolve this, KAESER partnered with T-Systems, which implemented decentralized internet breakouts for international subsidiaries. Internet Protect Pro was added to enhance security. This solution improved performance, increased flexibility, and ensured appropriate security for all work situations, including mobile access.

Customer pain points

  • Need to work securely with office applications from the cloud
  • The existing security solution had long runtimes when using the applications and was not an optimal fit for the flexible office solution
  • User experience suffering from latency

How T-Systems solved it

  • Utilizing the existing MPLS network for business-critical applications
  • Implementing separate routers for branch offices to enable direct internet access (incl. managed services)
  • Security as a Service from the cloud using Internet Protect Pro powered by Zscaler
  • Data traffic from the office applications passes through the security functions of Zscaler before accessing the G Suite
  • Internet Protect Pro safeguarded local internet access points through a multi-tier security approach
