Zero outage strategies

Scoring points and winning with quality: This year T-Systems presented the Zero Outage Partner Award to its top five partners for the second time.

99.9 percent availability and as few major incidents as possible were the ambitious goals that T-Systems set for itself and for its internal Zero Outage quality program. "We live zero outage every day and there is no way to fully realize a zero outage strategy without the help of partners," says Stephan Kasulke, responsible for the T-Systems Zero Outage program.

Zero outage certificates for partners

For that reason T-Systems decided to get its top partners and access providers involved. They can qualify for zero outage certification and earn the titles of Zero Outage Certified Partner and Zero Outage Certified Provider. At CeBIT 2016, T-Systems recognized its "partner of the year" in five categories from among 90 zero outage-certified companies for the second time. "The zero outage strategy, i.e., as few IT outages as possible, needs to work along the entire chain," explains Stephan Kasulke.

90 partners commit to zero outage

More than 30 top partners and 60 access providers are currently committed to zero outage and work in compliance with T-Systems' strict quality requirements, putting them among our trusted partners. They have made a commitment to complying with T-Systems' standards and live a zero outage culture at their companies. This includes partners being involved in fixing major incidents within 20 minutes of incident occurrence, actively supporting problem and change management activities and engaging in regular dialog with T-Systems regarding best practice solutions.

Triple win for customers, partners and T-Systems

In 2015 five independent auditors from TÜV Rheinland conducted a thorough audit of the quality initiative and confirmed that the Zero Outage program offers customers added value because it prevents IT outages. This can be seen in the number of major incidents, for example, which have dropped to a very small number. Many customers no longer experience IT outages at all. Not only T-Systems and its customers do benefit from the strategy, the partners do as well. Thanks to the zero outage program, they are able to effectively optimize their own products and processes and improve their efficiency. As well the solutions and services developed in co-operation are opening up attractive opportunities for additional business.
