During the build-up phase with a focus on research and development, it is most important to bring new features to the car as fast as possible. Once those features reach a later phase of their lifecycle, new aspects like stability, efficiency, and reliability come into focus. Many connected car services will become a commodity. At this point, not the fastest, but the OEMs with the lowest cost of operation will have a competitive advantage.
