Arrive: Onboarding Days

Starting out in a company as large and complex as T-Systems involves a lot of new impressions and information. That's why we start the Graduate Program with the Onboarding Days. Here you will get to know T-Systems and everything that is relevant for your start. And most importantly, you'll get to know the other graduates and build up your network within the company from day one.

Theory: Essentials – Getting Started

After that, you start directly with the Essentials, your learning block on-site and virtually. You will gain initial insights into the topics of digitalization, project management and much more. The Essentials will show you hands-on what challenges we face as T-Systems but also our customers face. This way you can grow into your future role more easily. The first weeks take place in the whole group, after that the learning journey is divided into the two tracks. In order to be able to provide active support during your first project assignment, you will complete the first learning block with an initial basic certification in line with your chosen track.

Assignment & In-depth knowledge

You will apply the knowledge you have gained so far in your 4-month assignment at your "home base" and gain an in-depth insight into the topics and projects of your department. You will be assigned your first tasks and responsibilities and learn what it means to work in your future role and what it is like to work in an agile environment. In parallel, you will go deeper into your field of expertise through additional trainings according to your track and target unit.

In the digital track, you will receive trainings in project management and complete it with a generally recognized certification (e.g. PRINCE2). In addition to sessions on agile project management and a certification as a SCRUM master, you will also receive trainings in the basics of software development as well as an overview of the processes in IT projects. This prepares you ideally to understand and manage IT-related projects.

The tech track includes trainings in modern software engineering, architecture and programming. Depending on the focus of future role, you will receive trainings in Python, Spring Boot, Terraform and Ansible, for example. In addition, you will receive cloud trainings and complete a certificate on Architecture from our partners Google, AWS or Microsoft.

Upon completion of your assignment, you will be ready to work full time in your target position.
