Over 100 leaders in the cloud and managed services industry were celebrated at the Service Provider Summit 2021 in Frankfurt on September 1 and 2, 2021. T-Systems was recognized among the best with a Gold Award in the category ‘Cloud Service Provider’.
Under the motto ‘As a Service Rocks!’ and in compliance with the COVID regulations, participants discussed how they can make business models not only secure but also sustainable by playing a key role in the cloud transformation of their customers’ IT landscapes. They were ranked based on a survey by the publisher Vogel IT-Medien – known for industry magazines such as “IT-Business” and “CloudComputing Insider”. Readers who took part in the survey rated providers and cloud providers in ten different categories. T-Systems International GmbH (listed as “T-Systems”) won Gold in the ‘Cloud Service Provider’ category. Stefan Zosel, Head of Cloud Sales at T-Systems accepted the award on behalf of the company.
The summit witnessed think tanks and keynote speeches on subjects such as opportunities and risks for service providers in the post-COVID era, future of cyber security, cloud services, sustainability, along with emphasis on cloud and digital sovereignty. During a keynote session, Stefan Zosel, T-Systems and Falk Weinreich, OVHcloud, discussed digital sovereignty in service providing and what it signifies in the context of GAIA-X. For Stefan, the event was an amazing learning experience, “Many topics that were discussed mapped a clear picture of the future requirements of the industry, especially now with the emphasis on technology and data sovereignty. The Gold win in the ‘Cloud Service Provider’ category is testimony of our efforts in helping our customers future-proof their business.”
