Dr. Bert Klöppel studied mathematics, computer science and physic, majoring in neural networks, operating systems and operations research. In the 1990s, he completed his PhD on AI in medicine. As a postdoctoral fellow at the university and as a freelance consultant for IT and innovation, he worked for industry and research and as a non-fiction author (operating systems and software development).
At the beginning of the 2000s, he moved to the industry as a project manager and later as a specialist area manager for "logistics integration" with a focus on the development/rollout/operation of solutions in supply chain management. After moving to T-Systems, he worked in the central IT architecture team (focus on architecture reviews), and from 2010 on as a consulting enterprise architect for major customers of T-Systems. He focused on customer projects (preparation & execution) in Europe and US and in technical terms, on the area of artificial intelligence, cloud computing and transformation. He also represents T-Systems on various bodies (e.g. BITKOM). He currently advises clients in pre-sales consulting / co-creation with a focus on innovative / disruptive technologies, including quantum computing.
