As of March 1, 2024, Dr. Christine Knackfuss-Nikolic will be the new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of T-Systems International GmbH. In this role, she is a member of the extended management team and reports directly to CEO Dr. Ferri Abolhassan. As CTO, she is also responsible for T-Systems’ Cyber Security Tribe, which will continue to be managed by Thomas Masicek.
In her almost 20-year career, Christine Knackfuss-Nikolic has already gained a wide range of experience in the technology environment. Most recently, she spent four years as Senior Vice President for Digital Business & Transformation at Telekom Deutschland GmbH (TDG). In this role, she has driven the digital transformation of the business customer division. Her responsibilities included the development of new products and business models as well as the further development of IT for TDG.
Prior to that, the Munich native worked for the management consultancy Accenture for 13 years. Until 2020, she was Managing Director in the “Digital & Customer Strategy” unit in the DACH region. Together with her team, she translated technologies into growth opportunities for various companies – including Deutsche Telekom. During this time, she was involved in projects such as T-Systems' Data Intelligence Hub and precursors to the Gaia-X project. Knackfuss-Nikolic started her career in the automotive industry at the BMW Group in the areas of international marketing, communications, and brand strategy.
As CTO, Christine will play a key role in shaping T-Systems' technology strategy and product roadmap, driving our innovations and conducting trend scouting for new technologies. In this way, it bridges the gap between product development and practical use with our business customers and thus sets the course for the successful distribution of our solutions.
“I have known Christine for many years and I appreciate her very much! She has excellent B2B expertise – especially in the areas of digital marketing -, sales - and business transformation. I look forward to working with her,” said Ferri Abolhassan, CEO of T-Systems and member of the Board of Management of Deutsche Telekom.
Christine Knackfuss-Nikolic is looking forward to her new role: “T-Systems offers innovative solutions in the areas of consulting, cloud, digital, AI, security and connectivity. Together with my team, I will bundle these individual portfolio elements into integrated ICT solutions. In this way, we respond to a growing customer demand and support companies in fully developing their business potential.”
