Despite the ongoing economic downturn, T-Systems is holding onto the number one spot among IT service providers in Germany. This recognition is proof of the trust the customers place in T-System's performance and service quality. Plus, the growing demand for data sovereignty and IT 'Made in Germany' opens up even more opportunities to strengthen the market position.
Good news in challenging times: Even with the current economic slump and companies being cautious about IT investments, T-Systems has secured the top spot in the Lünendonk ranking of IT service providers who generate more than 50 percent of their revenue from services like managed services, hosting, and more.
"In the wake of the debate about US tariffs and data security"1 , companies are increasingly looking for greater data sovereignty. The Lünendonk study notes "an increasing demand for 'Made in Germany' and therefore for local IT service providers with their own data centers"1. In just five years, sovereign cloud solutions are expected to account for "more than half of the cloud resources used"1 by companies here. Clearly, sovereignty is the hot topic for the German economy right now.
This leading position in our home market is a huge vote of confidence from our customers in what we do and the quality we deliver. Big thanks to our amazing team and to our customers!
Ferri Abolhassan, CEO T-Systems and member of the Board of Management of Deutsche Telekom AG
"We at T-Systems are true pioneers in this field: Back in 2004, we started virtualizing server infrastructures, making us one of the trailblazers not just in Germany, but across Europe, providing businesses with dynamically scalable IT resources before 'cloud computing' was even a thing", said Ferri Abolhassan, CEO T-Systems. "Today, our Open Sovereign Cloud lets companies in Germany and Europe manage their data securely and independently. With the Open Telekom Cloud, Future Cloud Infrastructure, and a wide range of hyperscaler options, we offer customers exactly the cloud solutions they need. That’s the power of the T Cloud."
But it’s not just cloud transformation (+13.5 percent); artificial intelligence (+18.5 percent) and cyber security (+11.4 percent) are also set for major growth in the next two years, according to the Lünendonk study. Here too, T-Systems is in a great position, having an own AI Factory, over 1,500 AI experts, and hundreds of real-world use cases across all industries.
In cyber security, T-Systems offers end-to-end services, from consulting and implementation to operations. T-Systems protects companies around the clock with AI-powered threat detection, automated defense mechanisms, and one of Europe’s largest security operations centers.
"The market environment remains challenging. But at Telekom and T-Systems, we have the experience and expertise to seize the opportunities ahead and fully support our customers on their digital transformation journey", concluded Ferri Abolhassan.
