Corporate Video Services Fact sheet: For a greater productivity

A more productive response

Enterprise-ready Corporate Video solutions enable modern, state-of-the-art forms of collaborative working. Rather than having teams take time-consuming and costly trips around the world, companies should use video conferences for more productive responses in real time: employees and experts in a company collaborate more closely across locations, which speeds up projects and delivers better results. That is because the use of Corporate Video systems can help to achieve more productive collaboration and enhanced competitive agility. The Enterprise Mobility 2015 study conducted by techconsult also confirms that “66 percent of companies believe that their employees would be more satisfied if they had greater working mobility.” What's more, the use of video conferencing systems and conference calls helps companies to reduce their CO2 emissions as well as travel costs.

Operating models for all applications

Regardless of whether at headquarters, between various company locations or even beyond state borders: Corporate Video brings employees, partners and customers in live contact with one another – in HD and HiFi quality. Together with its strategic partners Cisco and Polycom, T-Systems offers solutions in the form of different operating models – be it from the cloud, on-premise or custom-hosted. Companies can choose between Internet-based Corporate Video (“Direct” operating model), complete proactive end-to-end (E2E) management (“Complete”) or hybrid solutions (“Flex”) for enhancing existing systems.

Making decisions faster

The potential range of applications is diverse. When companies want to be able to make decisions faster or increase their market agility in competition, on-premise telepresence, multi-user or desktop solutions are required. Moreover, software clients enable new forms of mobile working with a free choice of devices – whether on a computer in the hotel lobby, on a tablet while on a business trip or on the smartphone when working at home.

All operating models at a glance

Complete – offers a fully managed solution variant from the cloud. The relevant video applications and server capacities needed are provided centrally by T-Systems from a German data center and offered as managed services. Video devices and on-premise solutions are provided and managed by T-Systems for purchase or rent.
Flex – offers technical solution variants from the customer’s own video applications, server capacities and video devices, as well as video platform services provided centrally by T-Systems. The customer’s own technology can be hosted both in the customer’s or in T-Systems’ data center. In addition to operating own solution elements, T-Systems also offers a managed service for the entire system.
Direct – offers the possibility of short-term use of generic video communication for everyday work. No expenditure and investment are needed for procuring and operating one’s own video network. Integration in established work processes is reduced to a minimum. T-Systems provides a straightforward ad hoc video conferencing service in the form of a virtual conference room from the cloud that is available 24/7. Video conferencing solutions from T-Systems allow companies to answer all demands for simple, collaborative working. Corporate Video connects people in real time in a resource-friendly and highly efficient manner. What's more, the demand for state-of-the-art video conferencing and conference call systems is growing. A globally networked economy requires modern collaboration tools – whether video chat, video telephony or net meeting. Locations have to be organized around the globe so that virtual teams and their projects can be coordinated effectively.

Security plus cost savings and easier migration

T-Systems' Corporate Video portfolio guarantees the best possible interoperability with established unified communication solutions and platforms that are already in place – thus saving costs and facilitating migration. Cloud operation ensures that companies remain up to date at all times in terms of video conferencing and conference call technology. What's more, Corporate Video from T-Systems stands for “Security Made in Germany”. Cloud solutions are produced in the German data center in accordance with local security guidelines. Protection is assured thanks to firewalls, VPN connections and E2E encryption.
Corporate Video from the cloud pays off for companies: hosting solutions centrally in the data center not only reduces the level of investment required; the option of a managed service based on a flexible lease model also means a lower spend on maintenance, updates and support for customers (total cost of ownership). The same applies for custom-made solutions that T-Systems operates in its data centers. Services and tools tailored specially to the portfolio round off the offer – whether booking portal, help lines, concierge services or support services from T-Systems.

Huge savings potential with video conferences

Sage Research quotes the assumption that of some 10,000 employees, around 30 percent take a business trip more than once a month. Video conferencing saves approx. every tenth business trip. In other words, 3,600 business trips at an average cost of 400 euros each could be saved per year, corresponding to a total of 1.4 million euros (VDR Business Travel Report).
