He studied physics at the University of Regensburg and subsequently earned a doctorate in computer-oriented theoretical physics at the University of Magdeburg. In his 20-year professional career he has dealt with many technical aspects of IT security, including intrusion detection, encryption technologies, reverse engineering or the security of industrial control systems. Together with his colleagues, he supports customers in investigating and processing security incidents. In addition to his main job, he is also a subject supervisor for dual students, a lecturer at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Villingen-Schwenningen (DHBW) and a professor with the subject "Information Security" at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (FHWS).
