Bernd Jäger, Practice Lead Industrial & IoT Security at Telekom Deutschland
Bernd Jäger studied electrical engineering specializing in computer engineering at RWTH Aachen University. After starting his career as a kernel-level software developer for communication networks, he then proceeded to design highly specialized cybersecurity solutions, lead the development of a Security Operations Center (SOC) in London, lead a consulting security team carrying out penetration testing, and support research projects related to cloud security, before becoming chief information security architect for an ICT provider. In 2016, he was appointed a Cloud Security Alliance Research Fellow and holds active certifications in cyber forensics, intrusion analysis, reversing malware, web application pen testing, and security management (GCFA, GCIA, GREM, GWAPT, CISSP). Having spent 20 years working in the field of cybersecurity, he became one of the first 120 SANS certified Industrial Defenders (GRID) in 2017. Bernd currently works as Practice Lead for ICS/IoT Security at Telekom-Security in Bonn.
